Roster scorecard
Measure the pieces that determine both wins and flexibility.
Total roster value can hide a thin starting lineup, while projected points can hide a team with no depth or future capital.
Begin with the best legal starting lineup, then measure how quickly quality falls on the bench. A roster with six similarly valued wide receivers may have strong total value but still lack the elite weekly ceiling needed to beat top teams.
Next, place age and draft picks beside production. Younger is not automatically better, and older is not automatically worse. The important question is whether the asset’s likely value and production window match the team’s path to contention.
Starter strength
Measure the ceiling and reliability of players who can actually enter the lineup under the league’s starter and flex rules.
Depth quality
Count playable injury replacements and tradeable bench assets rather than every rostered name equally.
Draft capital
Track both the number and likely range of picks because they are future players, trade currency, and insurance against roster decline.
League benchmark
A strength matters only relative to the managers you face.
The same quarterback room can be dominant in one league and average in another. League settings and roster distribution determine scarcity.
Rank each position against league-mates using the same value source and roster rules. Then look for concentration: one manager may control elite quarterbacks, another may hold most future firsts, and several may be competing for the same scarce tight ends.
Those concentrations create trade leverage. A position ranked first by a wide margin may be more useful as a source of upgrades elsewhere than as unused bench depth.
Positional rank
Compare quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end, and picks separately so total value does not hide a critical weakness.
Scarcity
Account for Superflex, TE premium, lineup depth, and the distribution of talent across actual rosters and waivers.
Partner fit
Find managers whose weakest position matches your surplus and whose available assets solve your priority need.

Turn every weakness into a ranked move queue.
A diagnosis without an ordered next step is only a report card. The highest-value output is a short list of feasible moves.
For each weakness, compare three paths: add a free agent, make a small depth trade, or consolidate for a starter. Rank those paths by expected lineup impact, acquisition cost, and whether the move preserves the roster’s window.
Do the same for strengths. A surplus should identify who needs it, which assets are realistic returns, and whether trading it would create a new fragility.
Contender move
Improve the starting lineup or protect a fragile position without paying premium prices for redundant depth.
Retool move
Trade from surplus, extend the value window, and keep enough production to remain opportunistic.
Rebuild move
Convert short-lived or poorly timed value into younger cornerstones, picks, and flexible roster spots.
